The East Coast’s largest gaming convention is fast approaching with the 13th annual NOVA Open just around the corner. Taking place at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC, this massive event features gaming for all your favourites from Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar to Star Wars: Legion, Marvel Crisis Protocol, BattleTech, Infinity, and more. On top of this, there’s a plethora of classes and seminars, a major painting competition in the form of the Capital Palette, and, of course, a vendor hall. To top it all off, The Army Painter will be in attendance, rounding out our tour de force of the “Big Three” tabletop conventions for 2024 - LVO, Adepticon, and NOVA.
Not only will our elite Events Team be spearheading our presence with Kat and Caleb, but the entirety of The Army Painter Factory Team will also be attending, with Sam, Uncle Atom, Phil, and Eric all lending their support.
Our booth will be right inside the main gaming hall, complete with painting demos and open gaming all weekend long. Come on over and learn tips and tricks from some of the best painters around, try out the new Warpaints Fanatic range for the first time, or even just check out our open gaming table during any downtime. We’ll also have our M.A.S.H. Hobby Repair Station on hand, stocked full of tools and glue for any mid-game repairs you may need during the eventful tournament. Looking to pick up some of our paints or supplies to take with you? We’ve got you covered with a limited supply of products available for purchase directly at our booth thanks to our retail partner, Alpha Omega Hobby, with an even larger selection available in the Vendor Hall itself from The Hobby Place.
That’s not all! Caleb Wissenback will be teaching three classes throughout the weekend, focusing on Speedpaint, Warpaints Fanatic, and Warpaints Air respectively. Learn the secrets of The Army Painter paint ranges from one of the hobby world’s most well-respected instructors, or up your game even further with a selection of classes from painting maestro Sam Lenz. If you’re looking for something a bit more chill and laid back, you can visit the Hobby Haven - a general-use area full of tables to paint at stocked with a large selection of paints and tools supplied by us! While there you can also participate in the Paint and Take and Speed Painting Contests hosted by the Mental Health Charity Painters, with all proceeds going to charity.
